While the legal definition of disability, as designated in the Americans with Disabilities Act, is an impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, disability encompasses a wide range of conditions and experiences. Disability includes but is not limited to mental health disabilities, chronic illnesses, intellectual disabilities, and hearing and vision disabilities.
